Message From The Vicar
Dearly beloved in Christ Jesus,
Easter and the days that follows remind us of a profound truth: we are the
‘resurrection people’ — those called to bear witness to the presence of the risen
Christ in the ordinary rhythms of daily life, and to help others encounter that same
living presence. The Gospel narratives affirm that resurrection faith is never passive.
It is a call to action, a divine commissioning. Mary Magdalene was sent to proclaim to
the apostles, I have seen the Lord (John 20:18). Peter, once broken and restored, was
entrusted with the task of feeding God’s sheep (John 21:15–17). The apostles were
sent out as witnesses of the risen Christ — not only in Jerusalem, but also in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
This mission is not confined to the first disciples. It is given to us as well. As the
‘resurrection people,’ we are called to orient our lives around the mission Christ
imparts to the faithful. If we lose sight of this divine calling, Easter loses its
transformative power. But when we live out this mission — when we embody the risen
Christ through acts of justice, mercy, compassion, and witness — Easter becomes a
living and ongoing reality in the world around us.
May I extend my heartfelt prayers and God’s blessings to all our dear students who
are preparing for their examinations. To those who will be traveling to India during
the summer vacation, I encourage you to take time to visit mission institutions and
centers of the Church. Such visits can be a great source of inspiration, especially for
our younger generation, helping them to appreciate the rich heritage of faith and the
ongoing mission of the Church.
We joyfully welcome John Wilson Achen, Jolly Kochamma, Jazzlyn and Jerlyn to our
parish. Let us pray that their life and ministry among us be a blessing for us all and to
the church.
May we, as the resurrection people, joyfully accept the call to live and share the
gospel of Christ with others. Like Mary let us proclaim with our lips and lives,
“I have seen the Lord”.

Our newly built Recreation center and the Jubilee hall was dedicated to God by the Diocesan
Episcopa Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulose at 10am on Saturday April 26. With the
completion of this dream project, we have accomplished another milestone in the history of
IMTC, Houston. Praise the Lord! I would like to express my deepest appreciation to those who
worked hard behind this project, specially the Silver jubilee project convenors, Building
committee, Finance committee, Executive committees, various sub-committees, room
sponsors, those who contributed financially and to those who participated in the very
auspicious occasion of the Dedication service. A big thank you to all. This new space is going
to be more than just a building; it's a testament to our shared commitment to fostering
fellowship, community, and empowering youth. We believe that this Center will be a vital
resource for our church family, providing opportunities for recreation, learning, and building
stronger connections whether it is a sports event, a community event, or a place to connect
with others. We hope and pray that this Center will become a place where we all feel
welcomed, comfortable, and have opportunities to grow together in Christ our Lord. As we
envision this new space becoming a place where friendships are forged, memories are made,
where the joy of God's love is shared, we are very excited about the possibilities and the
positive impact this new space will have on our church and our community.
Our financial commitment for every family is $5000.00. As we completed the project, we need
to start paying back our bank loan which is about $20, 000 per month plus other expenses.

The ICECH 2025 Bible Quiz will take place on Sunday, July 13, at 2:30 PM at St.
Mary’s Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church. Each church can send one team of up
to Ten members to participate. Team members may be of any age or gender but
must be bonafide members of the church. The registration deadline is Tuesday,
July 01, 2025. Those Who are interested in participating from our church must
give their names before May 31 Saturday to the Secretary. If there are more than
10 participants, an internal quiz will be conducted to determine the team
members for IMTC.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Web Portal: We invite members to check out the updated church website with
new features and functionalities at www.immanuelmtc.org. There are several
new resources like updated lectionary, Bible Verses in three different
languages, various channels for our organizations, exclusive channels for
media that include podcasts, video and photo galleries, exclusive section for our
church history, and that of the North American Diocese.
OneCallNow: Apart from announcement during Sunday service
and newsletter, we use “ONECALLNOW” communication platform
to circulate key information regarding church service and other
activities. A 3rd layer of communication "Text Alert" has been
activated now along with the existing telephonic and Email Parish
communication tools. In order to avail "Text Alert" function you
must opt-in. Go to Text messaging in your Cell phone, Type
22300 in the Number Field and Type ALERT in the message field,
click Send.

Username: A simple username and something you can remember, eg.

Password: Your choice and something you can remember
Email: Your personal email (used for password reset)
Member ID: As listed in the church directory
Phone: Your contact number
Agree to the Master Service Agreement.
You will receive an email from our support team for the approval.
Step 3: Login
Once approved, use your username and password to log in to the app.
Step 4: Please verify your name and details in the Parish Directory
Step 5: Please test for other features in the app ( Events, Lectionary,
Vicar Message, Organization, Executive Committee, Home )

New Delhi.
Mr. Rajan Skariah, 69Y, brother of Mr. Thomas Skariah ID#150, of Horeb
area Prayer group was taken to heavenly abode on April 8th at Athyal,
Kerala.
Mrs. Annamma Thomas, 88Y, ID#124, belongs to Sehion area prayer
group and wife of our founding member late Mr. Thomas Mathai was
taken to heavenly abode on April 15th, Tuesday at Houston.
Mr. C.M. Thomas 95Y member of Toronto Mar Thoma Church and
brother of our member Mr. C.M. Mathew ID#163 of the Bethlehem area
prayer group was taken to heavenly abode in Canada on April 25th.
Mrs. Kunjukunjamma Kunjukunj 94Y, member of Horeb area prayer
group, mother of Mr. M.K. Thomas # 156, Mrs. Mini Geevarghese # 156,
Elizabeth Varghese # ID 264 and grand mother of Premdas # ID 387 was
taken to heavenly abode in Houston on April 28th.
